Art Furnishings for Artful Living

The eight marquetry decorations on the pediments represent fields of study. These show the Hagai Sophia in Istanbul, some math and physics formulae, a dolphin and a dinosaur. Others show a G clef, a telescope and constellation, a map of Florida, and a stack of books. Marquetry is a veneer inlay technique using various wood species to make the designs. 

A fellow woodworker doubted that a manatee could possibly be made cuddly.
